Ryan is a designer committed to advancing the field of architecture by leveraging constraints into opportunities. Ryan was born in upstate New York and wanted to be an astronaut before he realized he liked gravity and could explore space on Earth.
Ryan is the recipient of the Certificate of Merit Award from the American Institute of Architects has been an invited critic at UIC School of Architecture and UW College of Built Environments. Before landing at Fathom Architecture, Ryan worked in the offices of Chadbourne + Doss in Seattle and Qua’Virarch (now Paul Preissner Architects) in Chicago.
Ryan can sometimes be found exploring the Pacific Northwest and the Seattle restaurant scene. He appreciates other cities, landscapes, and cultures too and has visited Reykjavik, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Paris, and Auckland.
Ryan supports the local arts community and manages Fathom Gallery.
